We awoke to rain on Halloween, packed up and left New York headed for Florida. Since we were leaving later this year we thought it best to just do one-nighters on the road to get to the warm weather quicker. Our first night was spent at Americamp RV in Ashland, Virginia. This was once a KOA so the sites were close together but the park was well maintained and the showers and restrooms were very nice. Served the purpose for a night.
Our second night we stopped at Lake Jasper RV park in Hardeeville, SC. The park was only 2 years old and very nice. Once again, nice restrooms and showers, a lake with kayak rentals, and a nice pool area.
This park is conveniently located to spend some time in Savannah, Hilton Head and Charleston so we may be returning here in the future.
