Florida Bound Again!

We wanted to stay in New York until Emmalyn's 1st birthday on October 20th.  It was turning quite cold so we left shortly after to head for Florida.  It was not so hard to leave the family as we knew Lori, Greg and Emma would be visiting us for a week before Christmas.

We had two stops along the way on a different route from those we had previously traveled.  Our first stop was at Shenandoah Valley Campground in Mt. Jackson, Virginia.  The park was a smaller park, only three years old and very well maintained.  Every site in the park had a stunning view of the mountains and we commented how much Mickey would have loved our site since it was an end site with a huge yard and plenty of sun.

We only spent one night here as the temps were only in the 30's but will definitely return to spend some time exploring the Shenandoah Valley area.

Beautiful scenery through the Shenandoah Valley

Our last stop was a one night stop in Walterboro, S.C. at New Green Acres campground.  While Walterboro has nothing to offer, the park is conveniently located right off I-95 and have the longest pull thru sites we have ever seen.  We noted that we could have fit two of our 5th wheel and truck on the site. There is also a good distance between sites. This is a perfect one-night stop.
